"The good girl" is represented by Jennifer Aniston, depending on the choices she makes in her life, deciding
how her future will be. I expected a total different type of movie after reading its title, but once I started watching it, I understood it was beyond some mushy and cliched love story and everything made sense in the end. Jennifer Aniston plays a cashier that doesn't get any fulfillment from no point of view: career-wise, socially and in her marriage. Then, she falls in love with Jake
Gyllenhaal's character, as unhappy and miserable as her. His real name is Tom, but he thinks he is Holden Caulfield, as he sees many connections between them, he can relate to the main character from J.D.Salinger's Catcher In The Rye. He is the modern day Holden, who can't make up his mind, who's stuck and helpless in a grown-up world, who seems to be a bit bipolar and a bit schizo. The actors did a great job at playing such demanding roles, of characters whose lifestyles were totally random, but quirky. See this movie if you're a Jake Gyllenhaal fan, he's (un)believable.
