In this Italian movie,
Ruggero Deodato´s spin on the
“Last House on the Left” concept,
David Hess (best
known as
Krug from
“Last House”) plays Alex, an overly violent and highly psychotic car mechanic with a penchant for straight razors and sexual assault. He stalks a female motorist on her way through New York City, forces her of the road into some sort of deserted park, where he rapes and strangles her in her car.
Shortly after a wealthy young couple pulls into the garage where Alex works with his somewhat retarded side-kick Ricky (
Giovanni Lombardo Radice). Alex and Ricky are just getting ready to close shop and head out to “go boogie”, but the yuppie guy flashes a wad of cash at them, begging the two
mechanics to fix his car. As soon as Ricky has solved the car trouble, the rich couple take the mechanics back to their lavish suburban residence for a party. Right from the start, the couple and their equally well-off friends amuse themselves by trying to make fools of the working-class guests. Alex doesn´t like this one bit, and, pulling out his trusty and dangerously gleaming straight razor, proceeds to turn the evening into a different kind of party. Locking every entrance and taking the rich couple and all guests prisoner, Alex subjects the hostages to a night of sexual abuse, slashings,
humiliation and mayhem. But one of the prisoners has a nasty surprise up his sleeve...
A hugely entertaining movie for people with a strong stomach and a warped sense of humor, similar to
“Night Train Murders”.
