Euthanasia being the operative word and I read this morning's blog on the webpages about a British Couple who went to a Swiss
Clinic to end it all ... and where
Euthanasia is legal in Zurich and they have terminated their lives ... they are The Duffs and Mr Duff was 80 and Mrs Duff was 70 - both persons had battled long and hard against cancer and lost their battles.
I suppose whatever your moral take on Euthanasia known as "Mercy Killing" in this country you cannot then turn around and blame people for just lying about doing nothing .. afterall, everyday the BBC say that HM Government complains bitterly about the cost of the NHS and the cost of looking after
The Elderly, The Terminally Ill, The Target Groups and the Free Bus Pass business seemed to go forever. In fact I saw on webpages the famous actress Joanna Lumley say ... when she reached 60 and she is the same age as I am ... the most exciting attribute to it all was her Bus Pass ... I declined HM Governments Offer of a Free Bus Pass and I always believed that I must beware of Greeks Bearing Gifts or not only Greeks any one .. so I have no bus pass and fortunately I exercise a lot and I walk a daily author's walk .. the BBC have just announced that I have extended my life as a result of taking up
physical exercise at 50 something ... I have been a Drama Lecturer for 25 years so I am not a late entrant to Physical Exercise I asssure the BBC .. however, I have extended my life by 3 years .. great stuff ... sorry at the passing of The Duffs ... the Swiss Clinic was set up by Ludwig Minelli a Lawyer in Zurich Switzerland ... Hard Times!
