A Tragic Friendship

A Tragic Friendship relationship which lasted several years Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler may not frame in the traditional
concept of friendship that they occupied high positions in their respective countries with an image of myth to the grassroots level, impeded speech of a normal relationship friendship between two men. However, there was a close connection between that far surpasses the typical diplomatic intercourse between two heads of state. Analyzing the historical facts seem clear that this was a one-way link. Hitler almost unhealthy devotion to Mussolini was enveloped in a spiral of military disasters that ultimately cost him the war. Mussolini, for his part, never tired to denigrate and despise Hitler, despite everything he did for him. If there is a monument to friendship no one would deserve it more than Hitler in his relation to Mussolini. Hitler's admiration for Mussolini and was of a fanatic in the twenties when, by all means tried to approach the Duce. But he was adamant for many years and he even deny an autograph. Only in 1934 the Duce was pleased to receive Hitler, who by then was head of state. The first meeting between them took place in Venice and the contrasts were evident from the moment the German chancellor got off the plane. A Hitler bourgeois-looking waterproof and was received by Mussolini who wore his best uniform. The Duce overwhelming personality of Hitler moved far beyond anything he could imagine. On his return trip to Germany, Hitler repeated in a trance state that Mussolini was for him the greatest man who was born in the last thousand years. Mussolini, for his part, was not very pleased with his German host and went on to say Hitler was a hysterical homosexual who never stopped talking. This first impression was maintained in both until the end. Hitler never ceased to admire Mussolini even after the string of military disasters in his Italian counterpart. Mussolini, for his part, referred to Hitler's inner circle in a derogatory way and often accused him of being homosexual. Hitler's admiration for Mussolini completely blinded him and reached unhealthy levels during the war. Despite knowing that Mussolini was a double game of trying to build alliances with allies, continued to support him despite the advice of his generals and ministers in the sense of getting rid of Italia.Cuando in 1943 the Germans occupied Italy discovered an incredible arsenal of weapons never been used and fuel tanks filled with hidden underground level. For three years, Mussolini was in Germany all resources (coal, petrol, diesel and other primary products) without using a large portion of them. When the Germans discovered this harsh reality after the fall of the Duce, rather than shoot it rescued in a spectacular operation. Goering, Goebbels and other top exponents of Nazi Germany were outraged by the attitude of a man who could exploit the weakness of Hitler himself. While the Luftwaffe planes fell into the Channel for lack of fuel, hundreds of trains loaded with fuel had left Germany to satisfy the claims of Mussolini. But despite the overwhelming evidence, Hitler ignored the advice of his men and continued to protect his friend until the end. When Mussolini in 1937 delivered a famous speech in German before a million people in Munich said that when he has a friend had to go with him to the end. However, it was Hitler who remained loyal to his friend until the end. After the rescue of Campo Imperatore, Hitler Mussolini created puppet republic in northern Italy to try to resurrect the old Duce. Despite all the damage, lies and betrayals that led him, Hitler, Mussolini craved to feel comfortable in a world of illusions. A ghost republic under German tutelage, a fictional government headquarters in Gragnano guarded by SS men Duce and that was the shadow of that great statesman who had once been, they formed a play staged for Hitler himself. Almost without realizing Mussolini transformed into a puppet who reported very little use to Germany during the last two years of war. The presence of Mussolini in northern Italy still waking up adhesions between its people and this was of some use to the German invaders. But unfortunately for Hitler, the Duce kept searching for ways to betray her ally by signing a separate surrender to the British. Their actions are not devalued earned him the interest of the British who finally decided to negotiate with the Germans. In a final act of ingratitude to Hitler, shortly before his death, Mussolini repeated to anyone who would listen, that the Axis lost the war because of this crazy gay Hitler had not heard him (!!!) and with great cynicism Germans accused of betraying him.
