The author Murtaza Micky yusuf wrote that it was disgusting for members of the
national assembly to aim at elevating their
members above other
Nigerians, and also trying to regulate the police and cut short the long arms of the law from carrying out their constitutional duties! The bill if pased into law , Nigerian law enforcement agencies will be required to obtain permission from the National
assembly and the States assembly leaders before arresting any of their members.In addition to the requirement that such a member can only be arrested with a valid warrant of arrest, or if caught in the act of commiting the crime. The author feels that Nigerians should make an outcry, protest and keep shouting till the bill is thrown out. Because if the bill is passed. it means members of the Nigerian National Assembly may have gotten a licence to criminal impunity!
