The Nassau Guardian

Newspaper Review by: Toons

The FNM government is "chasing the wind" a whirlwind which will spiral out of control in The Bahamas, if they continue their
alleged policy of purging the system of those employees who they suspect to be supports of the PLP. The private sector is now following their lead, saying that if the government can do it, so can they. In Hosea 13 and verse one it says that "there was a time when Israel spoke and nations shook with fear, but Israel turned to Idol worshiping and sealed their own doom." Prime Minister the Hon. Hubert Ingraham and his FNM are busy worshipping and offering sacrifices to Baal – "shepherding a whirlwind," (if you will), which will consume them; for if you sow to the wind, you will surely reap a whirlwind. Bahamian people are catching eternal hell because of his government''s policies. I have little compassion for those who are fired, who supported Ingraham''s re-election; the hard times they are facing, some would say, are well deserved. We should have enough political savvy, by now, to enable us to recognize a political "misfit" when we see one. We should have sent Hubert Ingraham packing, but no, we wanted more of his , and now that we have him we have no one to blame but ourselves.
