Think of feminine solidarity News of two women fighting over the love of one man has increased in leaps and
bound of late. Yesterday, instead of celebrating love, some women spent their time fighting over love. Funny! At least three
incidents were recorded; Incident one: two sisters almost tore themselves apart when big sis caught little sis in the hands of her man! Incident two: it happened in the student’s residential area; two long buddies humiliated themselves in a bar as they fought over the love of a man. The girls, apparently, never knew they were dating the same man: Incident three two colleagues were said to have put themselves in eve’s clothing at the central market …….still because of a man. The irony is that all these incidents unfolded in the presence of the “Valentines”, the double-daters, who watched in amusement as the women threw insults and blows at each other. One man was even overhead saying that “the stronger woman will have me”. Funny! But most women fight for the men whom they love? From all indications, this is one domain where feminine
solidarity has failed woefully. Just how such situations can be avoided, is the million dollar question. Maybe, it should be one of the of reflection during the forth coming International Women’s Day.
