Surprisingly impressive variety and occasional lefty insight in this establishment rag. It hoots the who's who of Canadian
culture, politics and business. It has a cloyingToronto-centricity, but most of the so-called Canadian media elite do, after all,
live withing walking distance of College Street. The weekend edition rocks, despite an annoying columnist who got her gig due to nepotism and a clinging sweater. Great
art, music, fashion and bookreporting.I don't know whether I love to
hate it or hate to live it, but it's a fairly balanced and always intelligently written shortcut to the status quo.
