Direct Flights from Chengdu to Amsterdam The KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines announced that
starting from December 2
Th, 2006, its direct flights from Chengdu to Amsterdam would be increased to 3 one week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, respectively. It is believed that the move will bring more convenience to air passengers. This direct flight between the two cities, starting fly on May 9th this year, has proved to play a positive role in developing the economies of both Chegdu and Amsterdam, promoting the tourism and logistics sector and improving the investment environment in Western China. The increase of the direct flights is a further step for KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines' operation in Chengdu as well as a support to the EU-China Partenariat which will be held in Chengdu in November 2006.
