Microsoft’s R&D Centre of video games launched

Microsoft's R&D Centre of video games launched Microsoft's vice-president and CEO of the big China, Yang Yongzheng, and head of Microsoft Game Studios Asia, Akia Redmer, attended the inauguration ceremony of Microsoft's R&D Centre of Video Games in Chengddu, China's national video-game industrial base, on Tuesday. Microsoft's Platform Games Technology of the Centre in Chengdu, its first game technology platform in China, will be soon put into operation. Chen said Microsoft would make the centre as China's first incubator of video-games technology by bringing top experts and technology to the city and involving top enterprises to train world-class game professionals and developing games with Chinese cultural characteristics to cater for the needs of players in China. Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture, Administration of Chengdu High-tech Zone, and local game developers, as the cooperating parties of the program, were present the launching ceremony.
