Li Meets US.
Consul General Secretary of CPC
Chengdu committee Li Chuncheng had a
meeting on Monday with James A .Boughner, newly posted US. Consul General Chengdu. During the meeting, Li introduced to Boughner the history, culture and economy of chengdu and stressed that the
city had set a goal of consolidating the status as a central city n West China, with the
best the strongest comprehensive competitiveness , the best
environment for investing and the best living environment. Li welcomed foreign investors to involve in the process of achieving the goals. Boughner reiterated the consulate's commitment to introduce Chengdu to business circles in the US for promoting bilateral communication and cooperation. Nancy Lynn Corbett stepped into her office recently as the new public affairs officer of the American
consulate General Chengdu.
