That is what it is being called in the Czech Republic. A security
firm
employee - Frantisek Prochazka - calmly walked away with 560
million Czech Crowns ($32.2 million) and
simply disappeared. Apparently,
Prochazka, who was a relatively new employee, found an opportunity to
walk into the company''''s safe room, stuff the
cash into bags (and that''''s
a lot of notes because 5000 crowns is the biggest denomination in the Czech Republic) and had an accomplice transport the cash to whereabouts unknown.
Prochazka stayed on the job until the end of his
shift and then too
simply disappeared - one assumes with the cash. The theft was not even
discovered until part the way through the following shift giving him
time to make his getaway. He probably wasn''''t even suspected until he didn''''t show up for work again.
The most amazing
thing about the whole thing is that should he be caught - he only faces up to 2-years in jail!
So, if you stumble, this summer, across a happy looking 33-year old Czech guy living the life in some sunny vacation spot
it might pay to take a closer look. The firm he stole the money from is
offering a very large reward - 2 million Euros (around $3 million)....
