Lubersac in the Corrèze has officially opened its rivers for the 2006
fishing season. Despite a reduction in the number of
fishing permits bought last year and the repercussions of the 2003 draught, the Auvézère-Lubersac
fishing club is expecting a good
season. With some 60kg of gudgeon, 200kg of trout and 38,000 young trout already launched in the Lubersac waters, those with a penchant for fishing will be happily whiling away the hours. But make yourself legal by buying a fishing permit to avoid a fine. The local mairie is a good place to start.
