It’s not natural to speak in public, it’s a learning of each days. There are furthers methods to learn to be less shy.
The managers who are confront to one public can be stressed following a situation that they don't know. For instance, a director who intervenes regularly in public can meet the difficulties to do one speech to the TV or to the radio. It’s the case of one manager who must a radio show or a TV show. He demands advice to one coach in order to master his intervention. He has feared to deceive the members of company, notably his commercial and the human resources manager.
Like this director, we aren’t sufficiently trust in you. The judgement of others are very important, and notably in the professional domain. Nevertheless, there are the means to decrease the fear that we can re-feel.
1) Fight the wrong think
I willn't be to the higher of the situation; I never spoke in public and so on… It’s often the fears inheritance of childhood, she comes back when we are confronting directly to the stress situation. In this case, try to think to a good situation in which you are fluent.
2) Think to your main skills
Like one lawyer who aren’t fear of one trial, who is fluent for plead, try to adopt the same model.
3) Take one member of public
They are always someone agree with you, don’t hesitate to smile to this person and don’t hesitate of answer to his questions and interrogation. You avoid the tension.
4) Watch attentively your public
There are often in the public, one person who looks like stronger than others. Don’t hesitate, notably when you remark that this person discusses and you have demand the silence, to launch a phrase like: please, you can share us the very important things that you have to say.
5) Don’t hesitate to you confront to one stress situation
Learn when you are in the meeting where you aren’t the principal guest to take your mark. Dare to provoke the challenge, and set you in the situation in which you aren’t feeling good. That can be one paradox, but it’s being confronted to the stress situation that you can fight your fears.
6) Attract the attention on you
When you haven’t the choice, when you can’t go anywhere, you must fight obligatory. Confront you opinion to others and look that’s happens. It’s not always to we have imagined.
