Life of Russian
multi-millionairesRussian
people put their savings of 218 billiard dollars in foreign banks and over tha past few years Russian
millionaires and multi-millionaires have chosen banks in London which became their favourite place. The world-famous Mr. Roman Abramovics, with his fortune of 20 billion dollars has bought beside the football club of Chelsea several
real estates in
Great Britain. As a result of the above, a lot of his fellow-citizens travelled to Great Britain, to act similarly. If we can believe the British press, every third
new owner of houses or flats arrived from Russia, and the distant investors prefer the city or buy houses in the neighbourhood of London. Due to enormous interest, prices of properties increase in a greater extent than earlier, and
estate agents tell us the secret: if the offer is made by a Russian investor, a 40 % higher price is quoted than normally. " Russian people like the houses turn-to-key, moving in within the shortest period of time, and they are ready fo pay the price for it" - real estate agents explain the daily paper International Herald Tribune. Russian investors living in Great Britain use the services of several weekly and monthly papers, in one of them in New Style there was an advertisment for a 70 million pound sterling worth real estate looking for a Russian wealthy man. Beside London Russian house-owners appear on the most expensive French and Italian beaches as well. It is perhaps a little bit strange to hear, that the public is only informed from accident statistics, that one of the Russian multi-millionaires has been on the beach; lately, end of November Mr. Iszlam Kerimov - the owner of an oil company in Moscow, Member of Parliament - was first taken to hospital, later appeared on the front page of the newspapers, after breaking a brand new Ferrari. Still in the 90ies, a lot of Russian rich people lived permanently abroad, and this newly-rich circle which runned Europe wasted its money without rationally thinking. A good part of the Russians try to assimilate, their children attend the best secondary schools and study at universities. It is not exluded , that most of them will have to get accustomed to life abroad in the long run. The escape of Russian capital is accelerating - within one year the amount of money in foreign banks has increased by 50 billion dollars - many Russians are afraid of a permanent chaos in their country before and after the presidential elections in Russia in 2008.Written by Ms Ágnes Budaydomi29@freemail.huHUNGARY
