There was an article in the newspaper which really shook me up, and made me realize to what extent a
person can go to for there selfish needs. It was a cruel and an inhuman act.
A woman who was 9 months pregnant had been tortured for some
time to go to her parents
home to get more dowry. The time came when according to the indian customs there was a shower (valagapa)
ceramony to be performed for the girl, there was a lot of joy for that
girl has she was preparing to be a mother to her first child.
The ceramony went well and every one who came had
left happily back to there home, it was then that the most gruesome incident occured, her inlaws threw kerosene on her and set her on fire, and they just left her to die throwing a deaf ear to her cries , her withering pain.
The question is how insensitive can a person be, what is a person
going to do with so much money? obiviously they can't take it with them when they die. Sooner or later they are bound to be caught and going to be sent to jail, then what is the point of being so greedy.
It is about time that every one in the world should wake up and put a stop to such absurdness and cruelty to women.
