Tragic as it my sound, a 23-year old lady threw her four year old son from the fourth floor of her building , while under the influence of alcohol. Day? it was Saturday, just a day before 'Mother's Day'.
This was the second attempt made by the mother on the life of her son, and the second time around the kid was not that lucky. The first time the neighbors intervened and took away the kid before he could get hurt. The reason for such insanity , rift between husband and wife over some cash to get boozed.
It's really sad to see the state of affairs in both developed and developing countries. In the first you can't do or say much to your kids as the agency for protection of kids come and take away your kid and send them to foster homes. and in the second case children have no rights at all. they are considered as property of the parents. kids are beaten so brutally that they succumb to injuries and the culprits are let off as the case reads ' accidental death' .
Every time i come across an article where kids are tortured and tormented, i wonder why is it that these type of people are blessed with children , while others who really love and would give their life for kids, have to go through medical procedures just to conceive. Others spent a life time of fortune to cure their kids of incurable terminal disease. And here we have people who throw their kids out of the building? what could possibly be the answer to such insanity?
There really is no answer. IS THERE?
