Feroze adds odd spark to Taj brilliance.

The 67- year old veteran Bollywood actor Feroze Khan’s
comments regarding comfort levels of Muslims in India
compared to that in Pakistan kicked up quite a row. He was
commenting during the premiere of the Indian film Taj Mahal
in Lahore, Pakistan,

A war of words ensued between Feroze Khan and Fakhar-e-Alam
who was anchoring the function during the movie’s release
in Lahore on Tuesday. Feroze reportedly said that he was a
proud Indian and India was a secular country. Muslims in
India were making rapid progress. President of India was a
Muslim and the Prime Minister was a Sikh. Pakistan was
created in the name of Islam but one could see how the
Muslims were killing each other in Pakistan.

He further declared that Indian films were so powerful that
Pakistan government could not stop them for long from being
screened in Pakistan.

The Nation, a Pakistan daily, said the incident left a bad
taste in the Pakistani audience who saw the other side of
the Indian hero’s personality. Feroze Khan denied making
derogatory remarks against Pakistan and its people. He said
he had a lot of respect for the people of Pakistan who
showered him and his entourage with great love and extended
a very warm welcome. He said that Fakhar-e-Alam showed
disrespect to his colleague actress Monisha Koirala by
asking her a question in an indecent manner.
