Working on the computer for long hours causes neck pain. Here are some simple to do anytime/anywhere yogic
exercises
- In a sitting/standing position slowly bend neck
backwards, hold this position for 10- 20 secs. Come back to normal position slowly. Repeat 5-10 times.
- Stand/sit and look in front slowly turn towards one shoulder keeping the chin parallel to the shoulder, stay in this posture for 10- 20 secs, come back to normal position and repeat the same 10- 20 times. Repeat this exercise by turning to the other shoulder also.
- Gently bend your neck backwards slowly move your neck from left to right in half a circle like a pendulum. Repeat 20 times.
- Keep eyes shut while doing these
exercises.
- Do the exercises slowly without any jerks.
- People with cervical spondylitis must avoid these exercises.
