3 burglaries in city

Panaji , Aug 18: Some unknown
burglars struck today at three different places in the city and decamped with cash and goods all amounting to
rs 6 lakh.
The three burglaries took place in the wee hours today in the heart of the city shocking traders.
Police
sources informed that the robbers burgled the Konkan Railway booking office located at the Kadamba Transport Corporation bus terminus.
The burglars broke into the KRC booking office through the sliding windowpanes. They prised open the safe with the help of a hacksaw and decamped with Rs 2.81 lakh, the sources said.
The KRC commercial assistant, Mr Dilip Shantaram informed the police and lodged a
complaint on the burglary.
In the second robbery, the burglars gained entry into Lalitha Silk, a
shop located at Kamat Nagar, by pushing the€ inside and fled with 125 expensive silk sarees, six gold-plated silver jewellery items and six pearl chains all worth Rs 2.71 lakh early this morning, sources informed.
The shopkeeper, Mr Sriniwas Rao lodged a complaint with the Panaji town police in this regard.
While in the third case, a shop located behind Hotel Manoshanti on the AB Borkar Road dealing in Ayurvedic medicines and magnetic belts and other health items was burgled. The burglars effected entry into the shop by breaking the holder of the shutter lock. The

burglars decamped with cash amounting to Rs 12,374 and Ayurvedic products worth Rs 63,390.
Ms Sapna Sawant, branch manager of WWW Sky Shop Pvt Ltd, lodged a police complaint, the sources said.
The deputy inspector-general of police, Mr Ujjwal Mishra said the burglaries have taken place as policemen have been busy in investigating Mandar murder case. He said that night patrolling has suffered in the last few days.
