CBI has made public the outcome of its probe into the Nithari serial
killings case.Moninder Singh Pandher and Surender Kohli,
it was Surender who murdered that at least 19 persons."Although we are still investigating, it seems most murders were committed by one of the two accused persons," said Vijay Shanker, Director, CBI.Earlier, the investigators were not sure if both the accused were involved in the
killings, but now the CBI feels that only Kohli killed 19 women and
children.Cold-blooded murdersWith regard to the motive, previously, insanity was being probed as a motive for the gruesome killings, but now it is certain that these were cold-blooded murders.Moreover, it was earlier speculated that Kohli could get away citing an insanity plea, but now the CBI says that both the men are totally sane.Also while the motive was unclear earlier, now it is certain that the women and children were killed for sexual pleasure.Kohli is the prime suspect, but Moninder does not get a clean chit in the case, especially because the CBI is looking for evidence of sexual assault on the victims."Any direct or indirect role is being looked at by us," said Vijay Shanker, Director, CBI.Thus far, the agency isn't certain about cannibalism, but it has ruled out the organ trade angle.The final word in the case is expected in the chargesheet, which the CBI has promised to file within the stipulated two-month period.
