Newspaper Review by: MathewSir

Table Salt should not be on your table. In the good old days salt was used as a currency. Battles were even fought over it.
Today common salt has been stripped of all its enriching properties reducing it to 2 harmful and unwholesome substance - sodium and chloride. People are at risk of developing high BP, obesity, cancer and cardiovascular diseases because of the high levels of chemical found in table salt. We should switch over to rock salt, sea salt or black salt. Natural, unprocessed salt consists of 84 naturally found trace elements which are absolutely necessary for the body. It aids digestion of food in intestinal tract, clears sinuses, balances blood sugar levels and reduces aging. Excessive refined salt is found in soft drinks, ketchups, cornflakes, cheese, breads, biscuits and packaged foods. So try your level best to avoid refined common salt. Herbs, garlic and lime when sprinkled upon food reduces the need for salt without sacrificing on taste.
