45th senior national body-building meet in Mumbai from Jan 27

A galaxy of stars in nine different weight categories will flex their muscles in the Mr India 45th Senior National Body Building
Championship from January 27 to 29 next year, which is being held here for the first time.
Among the body builders from around the country who will feature in the three-day extravaganza are Bobby Singh of the Railways, Rmakant Sharma of Chandigarh, Bijit Gogoi of Assam and Mukesh Thakur of Bank Sports Board, was informed at a press conference.
The Championship will be held under the auspices of the Indian Body Building Federation (IBBF) at the Shivaji Gymnasium ground, Matoshree Sports Club, Andheri (East).
Apart from cash prizes, Mr India will also receive a Maruti car from Nice Pharmaceuticals, Delhi, the officials informed.
The nine weight categories in which competition will be held are 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg, 85 kg, 90 kg and 90 kg and above.
On the occasion, the Indian Body Building Federation will honour Dadaji Kondeo Award winner Bhai Kadam, renowned coach from Maharashtra Manohar Pathare, 1951 Mr Universe Monohar Aich and 1988 Mr Universe Premchand Dogra as well as all body builders of Maharashtra who are recipients of the Chhatrapati Award.
As a prelude to the Mr India championship, the Mumbai Suburban Body Builders and Fitness Association and the Mumbai Body Builders' Association will also organise the Mr Mumbai Body Building Championship at the same venue on December 28.
