Neesa Leisure to set up Cambay Golf project in Gandhinagar
Spread over a sprawling 17 acres, it will comprise of a golf academy, a full-fledged
driving range and a six hole executive golf
course.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 14 crore.
Colonel Pravin Uberoi said, "The double storied Golf Academy will provide fifteen artificial turf-driving stations on the ground floor and the same number of driving stations on the rooftop with natural turf."
The driving range will be of 240 x 40 m.
For the business and working personnel, the driving range is equipped with floodlights providing near daylight playing
facilities, said Uberoi.
"Cambay Golf may confirm the popular belief that board meetings confirm decisions made on golf course," according to Uberoi.
"The target for setting up the facility, barring the building is August 15," he further said.
According to Ashish Vaishnav, chief manager of Cambay Golf, "The facilities
available here will be at par with any international golf academies for beginners, amateurs and professional golfers."
At the academy, there are various
coaching packages available including beginner's package, refresher package, handicap package, Ad Hoc coaching, junior programming, corporate programme and ladies
special.
"Facilities like Virtual Golf and Simulator will also be available," Vaishnav said.
The Golf Academy has got special packages for schools, colleges, individuals and corporate.
"We have received proposals to run special clinics, seminars, and coaching camps especially for children during summer and winter vacations," Uberoi said.
We have approached the Indian Golf Union to adopt this academy, he said.
Talking about further expansion plans Uberoi said, "We are in the process of acquiring more land in the adjoining area so that we can have a 9 hole or an 18 hole golf course in future."
