Such times require better teamwork .Psychologist, Maren Rawlings who did a survey of 300 workers from 20 countries on the use of humor in the workplace found that, it increased the mood and the performance of employees. This is contradictory to the common misconception that people who joke around at the workplace are not as productive. Terry William a stand up comedian says, “If your workplace is a fun place to be, your staff will take less sick leave, have increased energy and be more able to deal with adversity and challenges. Laughter is needed to counter the headaches, depressions, lack of concentration and anxiety brought on by the current situation. One has to be aware of the right situation when making a joke, avoid controversial topics and also timing is important. When every one is involved in generating humor, there is greater bonding at the workplace. There is a sense of solidarity, employees and the management finds mutual
inspiration to cope with the situation.
