A Little Star
Hobby is what one likes to do the most whenever he or she gets some free time.-Some people like reading
books, some watching movies and so on. But I have a very strange hobby-looking at the sky full of stars at night. Every night I do that for a long time. But yesterday, It was a totally different experience. As usual, as the sun set and stars began to rise, I went to the window of my room. I started looking at the sky full of stars and appreciating the wonders of God. How creative He is. These sparkling diamonds in the sky have added my name in the list of His fan following. But suddenly a little star became the center of my attraction. There were many bright and big stars in the sky and that little star was twinkling as if a poor
person struggling for life in high society. My heart was full of sympathy for that star. With grief in my heart and tears in my eyes, I said, “Poor Star! Stop trying. You can’t even survive in these
bigger ones. Still you are trying to make your present felt. Why are you wasting your effort?” To my great surprise, the star replied, “Stop calling me poor. These stars are very close to you. So, you think that they are bigger and bright than me. I am really very far away from you. That’s why I appear smaller and less bright than these ones. But, the fact is that I am much more bigger and brighter than all these stars.” The star left me with no reply. How true he was!! Only the person close to someone comes to know what actually he is and the rest have just their own views. We can’t judge a person by his physical appearance or how he looks like. To know a person completely, we need to have a close band with that person and identify his or her inner beauty and not the outer one. In this way, the nature taught me a great lesson yesterday.
