India and its
Politicians India is one of the richest nations in the world, since decades and centuries. Natural resources,
intelligence, culture, divinity, and so on. The list is never-ending. Indians inherit and possess all yet has many negatives. To name a few, poverty, illiteracy, corruption, exploitation, ignorance and over-population. To worsen the situation are the selfish, corrupt
Politicians. They are immoralist’s, selfish and clever. They are holding powerful positions not for the benefit of the county and its people but for themselves and their families. The negatives, one may say, exist due to our ruling politicians. Patriotism, which once existed in the hearts and minds of our freedom
fighters, cannot be seen in our present politicians.
Having seen the youthful patriotic movie of Rakesh O. M. Mehra, “Rang De Basanti, my passion in history was revived. It is a wonderful movie. The lives and sacrifices our freedon fighters like Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bismilh and others are well portrayed in the movie. The actors Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Siddharth, Mahadevan ans S. Joshi have acted well and have been successful in arousing the dead spirits of Indian Youth today. They have beautifully picturized the characters they reflect of our freedom movement fighters. The writer in me woke up and also the passion for history. So I write this.
Our freedom fighters gave up their lives for India’s freedom from the British but India is still a slave today. It is a slave to the hollow systems of our ruling governments.
Fighting this corrupt system is not an easy task. From decades, this slavery has gone deep in the hearts and minds of Indians and they have accepted it. Revolutions are not in. No one dares to raise a voice. Small revolts are silenced by power, threat and money. Indians kill their inner voices when they see money. In the movie, when an Air Force Officer (one of the group’s friend) dies while flying the plane, to save the people of Ambala, these youngsters get furious. The Defence Minister was responsible for the poor quality of these planes. He blames the pilot. Hearing this, they decide to raise their voices against the corrupt politician. They kill him in the open and declare their crime as well, publicly. This shakes the entire youth of the country. The police kill all, later. Their sacrifice does not go unheard. Their deaths were successful. Uproar, anger, hatred come out. The hidden feelings of despair, the inner soul awakens. What Guts! Great! Highly Appreciable a task! But at the lost of one life!
So, India needs a dictator like Hitler. All these politicians need to be killed in the open. They control the administration, the police and hence the common man suffers. Once the dictator rules, there would flow a ray of hope, growth and humanity. Government machinery would then be made of for and by the people.
Such movies must be made regularly. Rise our Youth, remember the sacrifices of our leaders and try and become so. Wake your silent voices and live for India. Evil has to be killed from its root.
