The Mumbai Police's Crime Branch will on Thursday move an application before a
magistrate's
court, requesting the
magistrate to hear their plea on the custody of arrested
terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Iman alias Kasab, in the Crime Branch itself.
Kasab is the only terrorist captured alive during the three-day terror attack on Mumbai that started on November 26.
"He (the terrorist) cannot be taken to the court due to security reasons and thus the Crime Branch will request the magistrate to hear the remand, in all probability in the Crime Branch office," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria told PTI.
Kasab, the sole terrorist of the group of ten to be arrested, has been in police custody since November 27 and has been kept at an undisclosed location.
