February the 14Th ... a
day almost everyone looks forward to every year all over the globe,its a universal phenomenon,a day when
love is celebrated in its highest level of excitement.For some its day when they spend time with their respective lovers,showering them with gifts of all kinds which floods the market everywhere.Valentines day is the symbol of love,symbol of bringing hearts closer.its like a fairytale.everything is shaped in hearts during this festival.people roam around in frenzied state of romance,buying gifts,flowers,cards,with lots of plans to fill the day with fun,romance and of course sex.
With so much of media glare and publicity,people feel pressurised to perform well,to find something new to do every year to impress their lovers.with so much of options,people are not in mood to keep themselves interested to one thing for long time,more
options have made them more greedy,they seek change all the time.the fear of losing their
lovers keep hovering over them which brings lots of desperation and anxiety among people specially around this time of the year.
Things have become more complicated as the day,like other festivals, have become consumerist.love has become saleable product for companies and media,its measured by the size/value of the gift and not the feeling attached with it.
People at school,colleges,work,everywhere feel the pressure to hook up with someone just to be in the mainstream with their colleagues,otherwise they would become the subject of
fun and will be made to feel loosers.they feel left out and become desperate to look for someone.they become critical of such celebrations and resent the fun that other happy couples indulge in.
Both ways its voodooed.
