Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory on Friday became the winner to design nation’s first hydrogen bomb in two decades

programme known as the reliable replacement warhead, will improve the US
stockpile’s reliability ,Bush administration told. It will also allow the reduction of thousands of warhead in the stockpile for future war. The critics reacted sharplysaying it would send a wrong message to international community where US is engaged in nuclear nonproliferation.key member of congress said the programme as moving too fast.“I have serious concerns with the process leading up to today’s announcement, and with the priorities of the Department of Energy,” said Rep Pete Visclosky, chairman of the appropriations subcommittee that would pay for the programmeHe said lot of money was spent in preparing for the programme but there is no requirement at this time.However finally San Francisco firm won the race to build the design of the fusion bomb.According to me it is only waste of money and encourage other nations to do the same
