Are mobiles harmful??
Scientists have discovered that exposing human endothelial cells which line the minute blood vessels in the
brain- to the
mobile radiation can damage the blood brain barrier, a vital safety barrier that stops harmful substances from entering the brain.
Damage in the DNA of the cell and its defective repair was noticed by the German research group Verum. Damage was also done for the next generation of cells.
Already around the world 1.5 billion people use mobile
phones damage will have its own large scale implications. Right now there is no major biological change leading to disease. Children should only use mobile phones in emergencies.
"The watchdogs are not watching, or they're not barking. Whatever they're supposed to be doing, they're not doing it" - "The question that needs to be asked is if you had these findings
before the phones went on the market, would the government agencies ever have allowed these phones on the market, and the answer is no," George Carlo.
In most countries the mobile radiation safety standards are based on the assumption that the only biological effect of microwave (mobile phone) radiation is heating (the so called " thermal effect"). However ample evidence demonstrates that non-thermal effects do exist and may occur at a significantly lower radiation level than what causes heating. This means that present safety standards need to be changed so that they allow considerably lower levels of radiation intensities
