married couple, then the complete insight story makes us realized, how money matters.
But have we ever considered that not only the lacking of money is culprit, but the fact lying here is the mal-management of the money playing the entire game altogether.
Communication gap between married couples often gives birth to financial set back. A bit of understanding and bonding between two of them can make this purpose solved. To become financially balanced and stable, few suggestions given below can pave the way very smoothly:-
Ø Most of the time, due to giving more preferences to emotional side of the relation and egoistic side of oneself, financial matters often take back seat. It is highly suggested that in between married couples, there is no place for “I” and “You”. It is always good to see and treat it as a holistic betterment, and replace “I” and “You” by the term “Us” or “Ours”. Money be earned by husband or wife, it should be used to solve both of their purposes or needs.
Ø Sit together and make a budget plan for every month, and for a better management, make a record book to manage the money properly and regularly.
Ø Keep some amount of money separately which requires for
day to day
household purpose.
Ø Deposit money in a
bank for a long term. It will help to make future secured.
Ø Keep updating each other about daily expenditure.
Ø It is up to a couple whether to choose
joint account or separate account in a bank. But it is beneficial to keep at least one joint to keep the record of the money in one place, preferably money in this account would be for household requirements. Along with it you can also keep separate account.
Ø As far as possible, do not get overburdened with your loan interest or credit card balance and interest. Try to clear out all those payments before marriage, if possible.
Ø Don’t spend money on your extravagance before recovering from the debt, if any.
Ø Use credit card for buying anything or for shopping only then, when it is badly required.
So, it is to hereby conclude, ‘where there is a will, there is a way’. As money management is one of the most important task for better living, it is advisable here that try to manage and maintain it systemically, rather methodically, and both the couple have to put their true, balanced effort to it.
