This refers the October 22nd edition of TOI. What a fall! Just for a
film actor''s daughter''s elopement with her lover (a matured boy) you made a major head line and covered almost half
page on the front and double than that on the inside pages for that sensational item ignoring so many burning issues the
nation faces. How
sad it is to note that a reputed
news paper like yours allot such a lot of space to such cheap news. You should have shifted such stories details to your page 3 column or to the city pull outs instead of projecting it to the front page. It seems that film
actors are ruling the roost pushing down all the national issues and leaders to a remote corner. How sad it is that we Indians are just after the actors and their gimmicks on
screen. It is high time that we must think something big for the nation other than actors and their
maayajaal on the screen.
