IT IS BETTER TO HAVE PERFECTION BEFORE TEACHING
We learn something and then, we are equally eager to TEACH to others. Times of India of May 11, 08 discusses this point. There is a saying “If you give a fish to a person, you feed him for the day, but if you teach him how to fish you feed him for the whole life.”In our wisdom, we are eager to teach the other persons, even if we know only a little. There appears to be nothing wrong in teaching others what we know, provided we know what we know, and we tell the other persons, about our limitations. But it is considered advisable that we improve our knowledge and improve upon our skills, with the help of suitably thought out plan of actions. We should continue to be a learner, with positive attitude. In this way those knowing us and working around us, will continue to observe our learning process, leading towards perfection. When we concentrate on improving our tools and skills etc., those needing this knowledge will automatically take us as guru, and follow as a leader. This is sharply in contrast to our talking loudly with inadequate knowledge, with the intention of teaching others.
