GIVE WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS
The human nature in general, is one of compassion, of helping others. In this act of giving, we should not think of ourselves. This has been discussed in Times of India of Jul 15, 08. When we help others, it is not give and take, or any exchange. It is pure and simple giving only. When we have expectations of receiving something in return, giving and helping has no meaning. It is not a commercial transaction. We should do something good, and just forget about it. Even if those persons, whom we have helped, do not express or feel gratitude, it should be OK for us. By helping others, we have the feeling of inner joy and happiness. The nature in its turn will do something equivalent for us later on. What we give, we may get back in some other form. As we will sow, so will we reap. Those who are just, and do good to others are happy and satisfied. They do not tell, and need not tell any one. God, the Almighty is aware of everything happening in this world, including our contribution, and He will reward us suitably at the opportune time.
