Gandhigiri rebels…
Gandhigiri! It’s sound confusing. But it is the new craze among the youngsters post- Lage Raho Munnabhai
film. It is a
movie with lots of laughs that will make a paisa vasool movie for everyone. And the effect, you cannot imagine.
Sanjay Dutt, an outstanding actor of the millennium, is now, the new age reel Gandhi follower in his latest film, Lage Raho Munnabhai—a sequel of Munnabhai MBBS. He stars in the film with distinction, and lures his pool of fans in the same filmi name Munnabhai.
But now, he has the credit to let his fans enjoy with its new Gandhian thoughts. The film stars our inimitable crooks Munna and Circuit—the wholesome entertaining names with hearts of gold resembling the modern day Robin Hoods, Bole to Gandhi Bhai assisted by his devoted crony Circuit this
time.
A small time Mumbai-based dada, Munna with his crony Circuit--used to kidnap, extort and bash-up, this time win his battles with a smile in a Gandhian way--non-violence, no alcohol and the like.
The Gandhi of Lage Raho Munnabhai is not the historical figure taught, rather a grandfatherly genie, who appears any time Munna thinks of him 'from the heart'. The film experiences its tremendous success because of its world vision concept that is relevant in the Gandhi’s time and of course, today.
Staging a satyagraha in front of the wily promoter, Lucky Singh's house, and later on, locked in police station, Munna and Circuit relish in their goodness and fantasize of themselves being placed as statues in parks, their pictures on 500-rupee notes, roads named after them, and so on.
However, this film basically aims at delving the minds of youngsters under 40 with the Gandhian basics through Munna's Gandhigiri. Lage Raho Munnabhai recreates Gandhi for us.
The film stars Sanjay Dutt as Munnabhai, Arshad Warshi as Circuit, Vidya Balan as the Radio Jockey—Jhanvi, Boman Irani as Lucky Singh, Jimmy Shergil as Victor D Souza, Diya Mirza as Simran, and others. Shantanu Moitra directs music. Swanand Kirkire pens lyrics.
And last but not the least, Vidhu Vinod Chopra produces the movie and the credit for the wonderful direction goes to none other than the Fabulous Director of Munnabhai M.B.B.S.—Rajkumar Hirani. Eight songs make every listener enthralled, and complement the full entertainment for the moviegoers.
Go, and watch! You will feel what I am now feeling after seeing the movie. A total changed person with Gandhian thought empowering my ‘self’. You will feel the same difference. You will surely put the thoughts in your work as Munnabhai does in the film. Happy Movie to all of my contemporary fellows, and those elders, who is going through my experience.
