Fast and furious coverage of the English obsession of football: you never pick up a newspaper in an English City these days but the entire layout is FOOTBALL CRAZY: I prefer a game of rugger whenever possible since I sit on the sidelines anyway:
The Catholic Church and its
traditional role on Religious Orders makes a splash in The Times: Whatever happens : the faith persists: there is some fear that the old traditions of celibacy are dying out! And the Church is coming to terms with modernity!
Deafness is now apparently affecting the Orchestra player as much as it once did the Rock Musician: many times I have walked beside the Cellist or Violinist preparing to take the stage for an evening of musical entertainment: I gather we are all advised to wear /ear plugs/ in case we inadvertently suffer
hearing loss! I am
sure walking beside them constitutes no theat to one's hearing at all!
Food is festive especially since we look forward to the Turkey and a
bit of warmth around the Christmas table with family and friends: must remember to take into account that diet and stay healthy and in trim I am sure food is poetry as well as nutritional! Its a most positive way of dealing with the dining out tradition of Christmas in the cold winter days:
