"She's ugly", fiancé denounces girlfriend to the Attorney General.
This funny piece of news was in the main Italian newspapers headlines and it is worth reading. The event occurred in Sassari, a town situated in the north of Sardinia, an island of the Mediterranean sea. The seargent Domenico Zumbo, aged 33,born in Calabria, denounced to the Attorney General of Sassari Elisa, aged 34, from Chiaromonti, when found out at his first date that the gorgeous, tall, of perfect curves future model was actually a fat, 1,50 cm tall, unattractive girl. But let's know the facts. The couple had met in June 2001 thanks to an Elisa's phone call. She called the headquarter because was looking for a friend and since he was out, she started to chat with Domenico, who chanced to answer the phone. He was in that occasion stationed in the Army headquarter in Livorno. They felt instinctively attracted to each other and Domenico's calls started to become more frequent. Cute, fair, blue-eyed and very tall, this is the
picture Elisa sends to her boyfriend. It's easy for him to fall in love with such a godess...From then on, expensive
gifts ans sums of
money are regularly sent from Livorno to Sassari, where the
girl declares to live. He makes plans to share his life with her. He tries for three or four times to meet her personally but each time occurred some unexpected event to prevent the date. She justified it by saying that she wasn't emotionally prepared yet. In June 2002, after a year, he eventually manage to meet Elisa or, more precisely, Annalisa, her real name. For his astonishment, he finds out that not only she isn't a model and doesn't live in Sassari but, worse, she is fat, short and decidedly ugly! The girl put the blame of her weigh on an hormonal disorder. Domenico then decides to denounce her for fraud to the Attorney General. She is charged of having cheated him by making him spend the sum of € 25.000,00 in gifts, money and some other expenses involved in the affair. Annalisa's lawyer declared that both presents and money were sent to her spontaneously, nevertheless he affirms that his client has already signed an official document in which she binds herself to give back to the disappointed fiancé all the gifts and money he spent with her. The final outcome of the story will be known in December when the law Court brings in the verdict.
