Reviving the Kenyan economy is such an arduous task as
numerous scandals have rocked the coalition(NARC) that came in power in 2002. These scandals have called for numerous
commissions to be set up to investigate how they happened. These commissions in turn are now haunting
kenyans as they use huge
sums of taxpayers' money yet their findings and those
responsible for them are kept secret to the public.Like the former government of KANU,NARC uses the same tactics of keeping reports to gather dust in the shelves as long as something new has come up to make kenyans forget of the past and keep them busy.Remember the Goldenberg inquiry,Ouko commission,Anglo leasing and now the Kiruki
Commission investigating the armenians all having spent good sums of money that could be used to improve Kenyans way of life.It is economical if we channel these resources somewhere profitable instead of setting up commissions that the citizens never get to know their results or what action is taken against the culprits. In any case those held responsible for these scandals walk in the corridors of power and go scotfree thus making it a great satire as to why these commissions are set up.
