own union rather than meeting in an old cafe called "Magko"
Magko is located closer to the front gate of historical Arbil Castle which used to embrace most of the popular singers and writers in 1930''s and according to historical resources it used to be called " Hassan Rida" then in the 1940''s it is changed to "Magko".
Magko played an important role in exploring and norishing the Kurdish
culture by discussions held by different categories from all over the country.
The oil paintings which decorate the walls of this cafe , give more historical depth for the city which lived many years of wars and conqueres hoping the new generation live a new era of freedom and security.
