YO MAN!
"What'z up dude?T damn teacher kicked me today for
not completing an assignment.What's the POA for
tonight?Hey! Is that hot babe coming along for some
fun?....."
This is what the conversation is like amongst the teeny
boopers of our 'maverick'
society.The infuence of certain
bad elements of our society is so rampant that it's
engulfing into itlself at an alarming rate the imbecile
youth's striving to be a part of the 'cool clan'.
What's astounding is not only the
language that they use but it's the habits they get
addicted to.The practice of this kind of atrocious
behaviour makes them despicable to others and incapacitates
and renders them useless for their future;which these
vagabond's fail to realise.
I do not condemn the use of hep lingo
but discretion is required in it's use.These hippies speak
obnoxiosly with almost everyone -
parent's,teacher's,kindred,elder's......,showing no
respect to them.Such mannerisms are appreciated by and are
appealing to only their peers.Because of regular use of
indecent words they inadvertently tend to use them before
their parent's,who doubt their efforts of civilised
upbringing of their children.The least we can do to honour
their endeavours is to act and behave culturedly towards
them giving them and others the respect they deserve.
This malady if restricted to language
only is corrigible,but it soon inundates their morals and
values.Guy's and gal's who initially were shy,under the
pupillage of their dastard company of
friends take up to
wrong way's of life-sordid
dealing's,drugs,smoking,drinking,perpetration,perversion,impudicious
dressing and other ignoble affairs.In the due course they
get so deep stuck into it that it becomes impossible for
them to unleash from the shackles of filthy living and
adopt an unprecedented respectful,honourable way of life.
Being the 'in thing' is different
from being a 'git'.Such folk's need to give themselves a
break and get a life.There are many other acceptable way's
of enjoying life without jeopardising your
present or your
future.
I admonish every reader of my
article to solemnly retrospect his life and contemplate
about those actions,speech or behaviour for which you were
reprimanded by other's,which your conscience cursed you
for.Make a mental note of such event's in the past and the
one's in your present which are a menace to your
integrity.Strive against them,realise your
individuality,your self-esteem.Don't blindly and foolishly
ape others.Shed the guise of pretence and let the real you
surface.Stand up stark upright for your belief's and you
will surprised by the appreciation you recieve.Believe me
you will discover peace within you, felt never before.
Be wise enough to sieve out the
good from the bad:be it friends or habits.Refrain from
wrong and endorse the right.It takes a lot conviction on
your part to break up from peer pressure,but once achieved
you are sure to rise above all;everyone desperately trying
to surpass your diligence.
Remember,the righteous is one who
when temptations of sin still lurk about,yet refrains and
chooses to abstain from.
