A New Wave - India In the past, India gave an image it was a huge population and a poverty country.
Dirty street, side road beggars and crowded city, these are what will appear in everyone mind when mentioned about India. But due to the world globarization economy, India has now turned into another image in term of economy, if not dramatiscally but at least in a smooth rhythm.
The country''s vast economic potential, its growth-friendly policies, large population and rising affluence levels have attract investors from all of the world. But the difference now is that India itself has become an
investor as well in other country, especially country of South-East Asia. If compare with Mid-East investor (may be other regional investor as well), India investor not only bringing their cash, they coming with their expertise as well. For example, India''s well known software
companies such as Infosys, Satyam not only create their new branch at other country, at the same time they transfer their knowlegde to the country as well. India investor is aggressively looking to share the world market. They have earned it second place on the global M&A list this year in the Asia-Pacific region, with a total outbound deal value of US$13.5bil.
Indian giants with deep pockets such as the Tata Group, Reliance Industries, Essel Propack, Videocon India, Nicholas Piramal India, Shasun Chemicals and Drugs and United Breweries have steadily made their moves into global markets, such as US and Britain. Much of the hunger has been attributed to a vast supply of funds, globally competitive business practices and a favorable regulatory environment, besides growth prospects. But why these India investor just invest back in their own country seem India''s economy is on the fast track. There are several reasons associate with this. First, the prices of real estate have sky-rocketed by more than two-fold in many big cities. Other than that, the cost of hiring engineers and staff attrition rates in India are also rising given the growing number of Indian companies that offer services operations there if compare to other coutries such as Malaysia. At the same time, India investors are also looking for a large pool of good talent, professional, world class infrastructure and strong government support to expand their business. These elements might not easy to get in India.
