Woman gang raped, sodomised by 10 men KOTA BARU: A 23-year-old woman was gang raped and sodomised by
10 men during an eight-hour ordeal on Saturday. The woman was abducted by three men as she was throwing rubbish into a communal bin near her foster parents’ home in Kampung Kubang Bemban in Pasir Mas about 8pm. The men grabbed her and drove off in a car without anyone noticing as most of her neighbours were either resting or had gone out after breaking fast. The woman was driven to a store located behind a workshop in Kampung Padang Embun. She was repeatedly raped and
sodomised by her three abductors. One of the men then called his friends on his handphone and told them to go to the store. Seven of his friends turned up and took turns raping the woman. All the men were in their 20s. Kelantan criminal investigation chief Assistant Commissioner Mazlan Lazim said the victim managed to escape about 4am the next day when the two men guarding her fell asleep. She sneaked out of the store and walked for 2km to the nearest house for help. However, the traumatised woman did not reveal her predicament to the family and only said that she needed help to get home. The family called the
police and officers sent her home as requested. The woman only lodged a report at the Pasir Mas police station later in the day. She was taken to the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian for a check-up. “The woman was so traumatised by the experience that she had difficulty verbalising her ordeal. She kept breaking down during the interview and we have yet to get a full statement from her.” Mazlan said the woman had been staying at her foster parents’ home since last year but at the time of the incident, she was alone as they were in Kuala Lumpur. Mazlan said the victim claimed she had been harassed by an unknown man who had been calling her handphone to ask her out on dates. “We have traced the caller as we believe that he might be involved in the case.” He said police had identified three suspects, one of whom a mechanic. He urged the public to contact the Pasir Mas police station at 09-7908222 if they have any information.
