Any living being makes mistake but I am going to talk about only Human.Generally we say same words, behave same way when
we make mistakes even try to conceal about fact in our mind.Commonly we show our
excuses like sorry for late, I missed first class,. I didn’t hear the alarm, got stuck in a busy schedules,traffic jam, there were no lights when I got up.There are excuses we commonly use, and our bosses, teachers and colleagues are forced to believe, not just because they trust us but also because they too use the same old excuses when they are late or haven’t completed an assignment on time and were unable to meet the deadline.
Though our teacher, parents and elders teach not to use excuses and are taught in kindergarden,school to act responsible, give valid excuses and we are punished for our idiotic little excuses we think make sense, we just keep doing it. We always have a reason no matter how same it is.
I am going to recall my past in words, when I was in school, my favourite excuse would be that my cat had died and I spent the whole day arranging its funeral. Though my teacher gave me a stern eye, I didn’t have to stay for detention after school because he thought that was sweet. Well that was until he found out that I gave the irrelevant excuse to all my teachers everytime. I didn’t do my homework. I still remember my science teacher telling us once that he wished someone would give him a genuine excuse. The next day one of my classmates walked into class fiften minutes late, and when he was asked , he innocently replied, “Sir, I got up late”. When questioned again he replied,” My mom didn’t get up early, and she is late for work, too.” The poor my dear friend! Our science teacher called his mom up right after class, and he had to sit in detention the entire week. We all knew why he was late,it was because the frogs and the black widow spider. We had in class freaked him out, and he would always have a reason for not attending class. We hate excuses, but we just can’t seem excuses, but we just can’t seem to get rid of the habit. Remember the saying, “Where there is a will there is a way?”
Then why doesn’t this always apply, especially when we have a deadline to meet.
On researchers view, one main reason why we find it difficult to meet deadlines is because we are unable to manage time.Time management has always been identified as a key factor for success.
We continuously rehearse our sad excuses that are mostly just lies, which we wouldn’t have had to bother with if we had just made a little effort in managing our time.
Instead of looking for excuse, be more punctual, take assignments seriously and learn to be honest, I mean, being honest save time. After all “Time is money” and our key to success.
