Its with much agony and painful mind to realize that up till now the land still stinks and continue to wallow in abject poverty,
not only in poverty but so many things are wrong, honestly so many a thing are falling, not only falling but are wrongly shaped.
Since I have born into this land well over thirty years now I have never moved out, so it affords me the opportunities to say and run a litmus test on the land and its chiefs.
The land is blessed; the land is resourceful and full of passion and energy. Among other land she always stand out, glaze and dazzle her well divine costumes before chiefs of other lands which always make them to run after her, woo her to their side. Everybody hates to love her but there is no antidote to that.
When I was growing up in the land I could still remember the look on my parents and neighbours, the look of hope and expectancy believing there would be a divine or say spiritual turn around which disappointedly never came. Growing up then was like fun, though then we more of a little of average family. We could afford three square meal comfortably just like almost very other family in the land. You can take tea with an evaporated milk, fry eggs willingly, eat chicken whenever you feel like and buy new wears though you might not have a personal car. Still, people pray for divine intervention.
Now, I look back I shed tears, my people are suffering. All potential able men and women now look beyond their strength and age in terms of livelihood. The old were not left out, they can no longer look on to their children for support, because the children can not even support themselves talk to support another being.
We are at the mercy of the so-called chiefs of the land that rob the land of her belongings.
The land that was full or resources now is multi-blessed in resources but the people of the land now suffer more, people now cannot afford to buy a plate of rice not to talk of three-square meal. So, where is the money in the land?
The men and women of the land that never bother to go outside the land before now turns to scavengers and wanderers, now the hunter has now become hunted. Why?
I discovered recently through my researches that in all the mineral resources that exist in the whole world, our land will always have some percentage of it. At worst 0.01%.
The so called developed land has nothing compared to what our land had and we suffer most. Why?
A particular land I know lives on tax, tax my people! And we run to the land for survival. In fact the land looks like the paradise of this earth. Where is our own land?
Our land is filled with human resources; able men and women of good passion and strength but unfortunately they down the east, north and south of various land developing her. Why won’t they develop and work with enthusiasm for the neighbouring land, because they are more at home and well taken care of. Though, Home sweet home! But, woe to a man that cannot provide for his family.
My question is still this: Where is the money in the land?
Indeed, the most apparent bone of contention is the attitude of my people to these issues/problems. My people are too religious. They believe too much in divinity than in reality and way of life.
I would not want to believe Jesus will be sent to the World again only to come and save Nigeria from the selfish, self-centered, wicked, unrepentant and “longer-throat” leaders. They gathered themselves from different region, form alliance, called themselves kingmakers at the expense of the valuable people they govern. The power to choose leader now rest on the amount of thugs you can control to rigg elections
To tell you the fact, Nigeria will never witness any peace and meaningful change unless we the masses realize and face the sources of it. Look and check very well on all the developed nations, did God come down from heaven to fight a Holy war for them before they could be where they are now. The Omnipotent has given us all the mineral and material resources we needed (to be frank more than enough – that which should be shared between numerous nations), Omniscience release a good brains into this land to manage the wealth of resources, and The Omnipotent, established this nation on tolerance.
My people perish because they lack knowledge; and people will continue to cheat you once they know there is element of fear in you.
NIGERIANS wake up from your slumber. Never let some set of tyrant chiefs carry what belong to you and give as inheritance to their children, grand-children, great grand children, and those that yet unborn. It’s not done. Now is the time for us to open mouth to talk, the fear of failure is the failure to succeed.
Thank you.
