Members for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in the South-East, Nigeria, West Africa sets ablaze the house of Nigeria's first President, late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe located on the Onitsha-Enugu Road.

MASSOB went on rampage following the arrest of its leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike by security operatives to the Federal Government. Uwazuruike is chmpioningg the break away of the Igbos from Nigeria, a situation which the Federal Government saw as antagonistic and treasonable.

The belligerent group also iay siege on the Niger Bridge preventing vehicles from crossing the bridge, while they set ablaze cars parked at Azikiwe's house.

One of MASSB's leader, Chief Venatius Muoneke said the group wanted unconditional release of their leader.

Police in Delta State swung into action dispersing protesters on some major roads in the capital, Asaba, but "No arrest was made," says Police Public Relations Officer, Miss Olabisi Okwuobi, but says the police has fortified the Asaba end of the Niger Bridge to ensure that protesters do not enter Delta from Anambra.
