New Yorker has been emailing me and the humour can you imagine it is absolutely riveting. I had some contact with the New Yorker and I had sent them some
poems but they
didnt like them and
replied to the effect that they had so many poems in English from all over the world that they were positively overwhelmed and could I please take them back. I replied that I didnt wish to bother too much as it was expensive mailing New Yorker without any contract from New Yorker in America.
The saga continued .. so I stopped my communication with the New Yorker and felt there was no place for my
poetry in its glossy pages and I had heard locally at a hotel around the corner that its a prestigious magazine and just about
everybody in poetry is in it .. well I prayed that I too would join everybody. But I didnt ......so it was "goodbye" New Yorker.
Several months later, the New Yorker started
blogging me with Cartoon jokes and thats where we are at the moment .. they are
funny and highly addictive so I dont worry too much about reading them but its nice to see whats going on in the New Yorker in America. funny stuff keep on blogging.
