The UN and a report on the use of cocaine in the UK ... apparently according to the UN blogged by ITN the UK is the largest
user of the drug cocaine in Europe/Western Europe. The statistics are frightening and even today the people interviewed by the reporter are still not sure about how to go about the crackdown on the import and use of cocaine into the UK. In and around London are the worst affected areas but the cocaine importation goes as far away as Northern Ireland.
The cocaine comes from Afghanistan and is moved from there to the Middle East onto Europe and straight through to the UK. Some believe that prohibition does not work but nevertheless they recognize the serious nature of the drugs trade and the illegal use of cocaine in this country ... are we too soft on Cocaine and should we not take stronger measures to prevent the use of cocaine in the UK rather than sit about observing the abuse and use of cocaine here! Hard work!
