LUNAR ECLIPSESky watchers across the world have enjoyed the first
total LUNAR ECLIPSE in more than three years. The eclipse began at 1.48 AM Indian Standard time with the
Moon totally immersed in the shadow of the Earth between 4.14 AM to 5.27 AM. During total eclipse, the moon appeared reddish in colour as only light that had been filtered through the Earth's atmosphere reached the Moon's surface. The eclipse was
visible from the whole of Europe, Africa, South America, South Asia including India and eastern parts of the US and Canada. The coppery red Moon was also visible across large areas of the UK.
