The Queen is now in her 80s ... and it looks like she has without question a job for life! I was sitting waiting for my flight at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul and a guy asked me if I thought the Queen should abdicate and give
HRH Prince of Wales the job ... well, I said, at the time... why not... off with the old and on with the
new ... she the Queen herself has declined to do this .... I suppose if she lives to be 101 her eldest son will be
the same age approximately as she is now 81 ... so if SHE can do it ... then so can HE!

Wonderfully joyous reading today ... apart from the stuff on the Germans and their history ... though I was taught that several centuries ago the Brits were the Monsters of Europe as well as the Germans ... it was "dog eat dog" all around the watchtower ... happy reading in the Mail on Saturday!
